However, they can cause different side effects that not all of them well identified. Objectives We intend clarify clinical presentation mydriasis caused by Escitalopram. Methods Reporting case a patient suffering major depressive disorder, presented after adjusting her antidepressant medication. Then, we conducted literature review using “PubMed” database keywords “Mydriasis”, “escitalopram”, “SSRI”,” effects”. Results A 29-year-old female with no past history, in May 2021 severe depression requiring an treatment. Under 10 mg per day escitalopram there was partial remission symptoms, leading increase dose another mg. One month taking 20 mg/day, she consults before appointment from blurry vision photophobia. Ophthalmologic examination showed bilateral reactive half-mydriasis, eye pressure 14 mmHg fundus normal.
